One Holiday Storyteller Disappears From Festival of the Holidays

Festival of the Holidays takes place at Epcot every year. One storyteller is not available this year and has been replaced by something else entirely.

During EPCOT’s holiday season, there are so many festive experiences everywhere you look. The Festival of the Holidays offers guests the chance to enjoy the beautiful Candlelight Processional, delicious holiday food booths, exclusive merchandise, and more!

When it comes to entertainment, EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays offers some of the most amazing shows and performers in all of Disney World.

The Festival of the Holidays runs now through December 30th.

Unfortunately, one of the holiday storytellers is not performing this year. No, it’s not the mischievous barn Santa in Norway or Pere Noel in France.

The Chinese Lion Dancer in China is MIA this year. If you were hoping to see this Chinese tradition that celebrates Lunar New Year you are out of luck. We have noticed every day there are no showtimes available for this storyteller.

Replacement

Instead, I saw its replacement just the other day. A traditional Chinese band plays music that the country celebrates during this time of year.

It was a beautiful performance, and I stopped for several minutes to watch. While it was disappointing to not see the lion, I’m glad Disney replaced it with something else. As someone who sees the storytellers every year, this was different (in a good way)!

They appear to have the same schedule as the Chinese Lion Dancers, which are as follows: 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm.

Other storyteller showtimes can be found HERE.
