Part of what makes the “Disney difference” is the amazing experience for Disney guests of all ages. Now, Disney is making a big change for guests that you may want to keep in mind. What do you think of this new change?
“Disney Difference”
The Walt Disney Company has made quite a name for itself over the years. With attention to even the smallest details, top-notch entertainment, and dedication to make the parks accessible for all guests the Walt Disney Company is in a class of its own.
Every guest both the young and the young at heart can feel the magic. Over the years, the Disney magic has extended outside of just theme parks. With Storyliving planning communities, great exhibits, a journey through the Disney Archives, and even a growing fleet of Disney Cruise line ships.
Disney Kid’s Clubs
Now Disney is announcing a big change for their Children’s clubs. A Disney cruise is much more laid back than a day in the parks. You can fill your day aboard the Disney cruise with as many or as few activities as you like.
There are so many great activities for every member of your family. The great news is that (with the exception of a few activities) a Disney Cruise is all inclusive.
This includes access to Children’s Clubs. This includes clubs for children starting at age 3 all of the way through teenage years. These clubs offer great Disney experiences throughout the day.
Now the age ranges are changing for these clubs. The youngest club for young cruisers is Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. Both clubs were previously open for guests ages 3 to age 12. Now based upon guest feedback, these age ranges are now changing.
Both the Oceaneer Club and Lab will now be for guests ages 3 to 10. Guests ages 11 and 12 may now visit Edge. Edge will now include ages 11 up to 14.
New changes will take effect for December 21, 2023 sailings.
Vibe will continue to offer experiences for cruisers between 14 to 17 years of age. This new change will take effect on December 21, 2023 sailings. Both Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab will be available for all guests to enjoy during “Open House” hours.
What do you think of this change? Do you agree with this or wish the age limits remained in place? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney Cruise pals.

This is extremely upsetting. We leave in 2 weeks for our disney cruise. We booked because it was my daughters wish to go to the Star Wars kids club before she aged out. She turned 11 3 months ago, so our entire vacation is ruined. Disney sold us something that they are not delivering on. We even booked our room so we would be on the same floor and just 2 doors down from the kids club, which I guess is far from Edge where my daughter will have to go. She doesn't want to go to edge, she wants to be a kid. Shame on disney for selling us something and then saying, nevermind... I would have had no problem with this if they changed it for any new bookings, but how can you do this to our kids who have been waiting for over a year for this experience!!!

We booked the Wish because my daughter wanted to be in the kids club with the slide and Star wars area before she aged out at 12. We go in 2 weeks and this being sprung on us only 2 weeks before we go and finding out my daughter won't be able to be in the club because she turned 11 3 months ago is extremely upsetting. We purchased this Cruise with a promise that my daughter would be able to be in that kids club. We even got a room right next to the kids club. We are not getting what we paid for and we can't cancel because we have already paid for flights across the US, hotel room, etc that is all non-refundable. I have no problem with them doing this for new bookings. But I'm not getting what I paid for and this is very upsetting!
