“It is the most wonderful time of the year” for many, but some Walt Disney World guests find themselves a bit frustrated. Find out which parks are now blocked for guests. Will this affect your travel plans?
Park Passes
Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all theme parks here in the United States. In addition to a theme park ticket, a reservation is also required to gain entry.
This is a frustrating step for many guests. Thankfully, Disney World will no longer require park passes for date-based tickets beginning in 2024.
You can read that story HERE. Unfortunately, Annual Passholders and Guests who do not have date-based tickets (like service members using the Salute discount) will still need to make reservations.
Blocked Dates
Previously, we shared that Park Passes were already blocked for guests this holiday season. Now, even more dates are blocked for guests with varying ticket types.
Today, December 18, Magic Kingdom is now unavailable for Theme Park Ticketed guests along with all Annual Passholders. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also unavailable for all Annual Passholders.
At times, Disney will add additional Park Passes for guests. Earlier today, all Annual Passholders and Theme Park Ticketed guests were blocked from both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios tomorrow, December 19. Now park passes are available for all Annual Passholders and Theme Park guests for this date.
The following day, December 20, Magic Kingdom is blocked for guests with Theme Park tickets. This is quite disappointing for guests with date-based tickets.
Make your Park Reservations as soon as you possibly can for every member of your traveling party.
We look forward to January 9 when Park Reservations are no longer needed for date-based tickets. Until that time, make your Park Reservations as soon as you possibly can for every member of your traveling party.
