Park Reservations are a BIG inconvenience, but now Walt Disney World is making it even easier for Annual Passholders to step into the magic. Get full details for this new update and start planning your next adventure today.
End of Park Reservations
Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all four theme parks. In May 2023, Disney made many changes for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. One of these big changes is in regard to Park Reservations.
Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. This is great news for guests with the standard theme park ticket.
Other big changes for the better are also coming to Walt Disney World on January 9, 2024. Get a full breakdown HERE.
Great Update
Park Reservations will still be required for guests with non date-based tickets and Annual Passholders if visiting the parks before 2:00 pm. Now Disney is sharing a BIG update for what the New Year will look like for Park Reservations.
Starting on January 11, 2024, Annual Passholders can see “Good to Go” dates on the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder admissions calendar. Blackout dates will still apply for select Annual Pass types.
These “Good to Go” dates will allow Annual Passholders to visit Theme Parks without making a Park Reservation. These dates will be added sporadically and may be added days or weeks in advance. Disney shares that once a date is declared “Good to Go”, it will remain “Good to Go.”
Although Park Reservations will still be needed on select days, this is great news for Annual Passholders. With the return of all-day Park Hopper access, Passholders can enter another Walt Disney World theme park any time during park hours.
Annual Passholders can continue to visit without a park reservation after 2:00 pm except for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. Although Park Reservations will still be needed on select days, this is great news for Annual Passholders.
starting on January 11, 2024, Annual Passholders can see “Good to Go” dates.
The “Good to Go” days will not count against the maximum number of reservations that an Annual Passholder can reserve. These will take the place of the previous “Bonus Reservations” and will be visible on the My Disney Experience app under “My Day.”
