Genie+ is a very valuable tool that will help save you time waiting in standby queues. However, Guests are paying a staggering amount of money for it. In fact, it’s the highest we have EVER seen it! Would you pay these prices?
Genie+
Genie+ is a paid feature that offers convenience and flexibility to help you save time in line. Here is the shortened version: for $15+ per person per day at Disney World and $20+ per person per day at Disneyland, choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance.
You can choose to use the standby line instead of purchasing Genie+. In doing so, Disney is not forcing you to pay for this feature. You can make one selection at a time all throughout the day. 40+ attractions are included at Walt Disney World and 15+ attractions are available at Disneyland.

Busy Holiday Weekend
There is no doubt about it. Walt Disney World can get BUSY. When you add major holidays to it, it gets even busier.
And, when you add in THE biggest weeks of the year, you can expect long waits and high prices for tickets, hotels, and yes, Genie+. The weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year are always the busiest. For 2023, crowds started to come in earlier this week.
And, as we continue on in this very crowded time of year, Genie+ is creeping up as well.
Genie+ Pricing for Today, December 23
Today, December 23, Genie+ hits a record breaking price! Here is a look at what people are paying to use the Lightning Lane:
- Multiple Parks: $39
- Magic Kingdom: $39
- EPCOT: $32
- Hollywood Studios: $35
- Animal Kingdom: $29
As a reminder, if you wish to park hop and use Genie+ at each park, you MUST purchase the Multiple Parks option. If you do not, you can only use Genie+ in the park you purchased it for.
This pricing comes with a few warnings. The first is, we absolutely expect Genie+ to sell out today with such a busy holiday. Typically, the Multiple Parks and Magic Kingdom options are the only ones to do so. People will not skip out on buying Genie+ when they have already spent so much money on their vacation.
Second, we anticipate pricing to continue to climb this weekend and next week. Be prepared to spend some money on Genie+. Could we see it go as high as $45 or $50?
And, of course, expect the parks to be BUSY!
