This week we have some changes as far as meet and greets and parade schedules. One character is leaving soon, so be sure to meet him before he’s gone!
Busy Holiday Week
The week between Christmas and New Year is always the busiest week of the year at Disney World. You will want to note the increased pricing in Genie+ and pack your patience as waits for everything will be longer.
This week, you will also want to note that the Christmas parade, which typically only performs during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, takes place during the day. It’s a nice Christmas treat since the parties ended last week!
Because Santa went back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve, you can no longer meet him in the parks and at Disney Springs. However, a few stand-ins have taken his place!
Santa Duffy and Santa Goofy
Santa Duffy appeared at Jollywood Nights this year, but now that that event is over, he is meeting at Hollywood Studios. What a fun surprise! You can read more about that HERE.
Typically, Santa Goofy meets at Hollywood Studios. But since Duffy is there, Goofy has moved! He is now at Epcot. You can find him at Santa’s old spot in the Odyssey Pavilion.
He will likely remain there until the end of Festival of the Holidays, which is December 30.
Festival of the Holidays
During EPCOT’s holiday season, there are so many festive experiences everywhere you look. The Festival of the Holidays offers guests the chance to enjoy the beautiful Candlelight Processional, delicious holiday food booths, exclusive merchandise, and more!
When it comes to entertainment, EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays offers some of the most amazing shows and performers in all of Disney World. As a reminder, one holiday storyteller has been replaced this year. We hope that helps your planning if you are visiting this week!
It’s never too early to plan for next year! If I can help you have magical holiday vacation in 2024, please fill out this form and put my name (Monica) in the Special Request box.
Will you meet Santa Goofy or Santa Duffy this week? Let us know in the comments, and share this post with a friend who is visiting this week!
