Disney World is home to dozens of dining options, from popcorn carts to a AAA Five Diamond restaurant. Even so, when one closes it still takes away from the overall Disney experience. One restaurant is closing for good.
Closing For Good
A lot of changes have taken place at Disney’s Boardwalk over the last year or so. Not only have the rooms been refurbished, but we have also seen the addition of the Boardwalk Deli and the upcoming Cake Bake Shop.
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs will also join the list of food options in this area. But with good news comes bad news. Big River Grille is closing for good.
Big River Grille & Brewing Works is the only brewery on property, and it serves up some pub favorites and an extensive alcoholic beverage selection. You can read my review right here.
If you have heard the name before, you will know that Big River Grille & Brewing Works also has two locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee: downtown and Hamilton Place.
Why?
An internal email was sent out to employees, and there was reportedly no reason given for the closure. While many people do not rush to make Advanced Dining Reservations for Big River Grille, it was a solid choice for sports watching. With the closure of the ESPN Club also gone, sports bars will be harder to come by at Disney World.
Hopefully something bigger and better will take over this spot, but in the meantime you may want to hurry over. This is a sudden closure, and the last date with hours of operation listed is January 21, 2024.
Big River Grille will close at Disney’s Boardwalk on January 22, 2024.
