Disneyland is getting a big upgrade soon! We are excited to see this change as it will make your park day much more efficient. Check out all the details here.

Comparatively speaking, Disneyland does not have the space to expand as much as Disney World does. However, that is not stopping Disney from expanding!
The Walt Disney Company hopes that this new expansion will not only help the Disneyland Resort but that it will also help to rebuild the economy of Anaheim.
These dreams hope to include an expansion of the theme parks, retail locations, and additional parking. Could we see more lands and attractions? We sure hope so!
In fact, concept art included theme park projects around the globe offering “possibilities” of what future expansion could look like at the Disneyland Resort.
Big Upgrade
It appears Disneyland is preparing for this major expansion by upgrading its entry gates at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Right now, these gates are not exactly efficient. In the above photo you can see how tiny they are. The turnstiles are outdated. Plus, there are not enough of them. This makes it difficult at times like rope drop or before an event when a huge crowd of people is waiting to get in.
The new upgrade will include additional gates. Even more important, the gates will be stroller and ADA accessible! This means you will not be separated from your party. Work will begin later this year.
The new gates will be similar to Disneyland Paris gates. After a Cast Member scans and validates your ticket, the gate will automatically open to let you through.
Maybe We Could Get Disney World Security, Too?
Another upgrade we would really like to see is the same security scanners Disney World has. Disney World updated its scanners in 2020, and it makes getting through security so much more efficient.
At Disneyland, Guests must still have their bags looked through before entering. By updating this technology as well, getting into the parks would become so much easier.
Are you excited for this upgrade? What else would you like to see at the Disneyland Resort? Let us know in the comments below, and share this post with someone who would be excited for this upgrade.
