No one wants to think the unthinkable at Disney World. We all want to be safe and have a magical time, forgetting about the real world for a few days.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. We have seen our fair share of fights, screaming matches, and weapons on Disney property. We are sad to report a kidnapping attempt took place at Epcot last year.

The report was just released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. A woman was the victim of a kidnapping attempt at the Epcot Cast Member parking lot on July 3, 2023.

According to that report, the woman, a Cast Member at Epcot, was getting off her shift and walking to her vehicle. On her way toward the car, a man leaned out of a car and grabbed the woman. He was trying to pull her in through the window.

She screamed, elbowed him in the head until he let go, and then ran away, according to what the woman told detectives. The kidnapper then said, “It’s OK. Just come to me, princess.”

Thankfully, that was the end of the incident. The car exited the parking lot and the woman ran to her vehicle. Later, she contacted law enforcement and described the situation and vehicle.

Unfortunately, surveillance cameras did not catch the incident itself, but it did show the vehicle leaving the lot just after 9:00 pm.

Be safe and vigilant no matter where you are, even Disney World. If you ever see something suspicious let a Cast Member know immediately.
