New baby animals are always fun to see during your visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Just last year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom welcomed more than 300 new baby animals. We saw so many different kinds of baby animals born, including zebras, rare twin tamarin and even a new Cinderella pony born at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

Seeing new babies born is not only a delight to see, but it is also very important! New babies ensure that species are healthy and also helps with their survival.

You might remember last year that a rare set of twin cotton-top tamarin baby monkeys were born. Cotton-top tamarins are considered a rare species with less than 7,500 remaining in the wild. Their numbers are so low that they are, unfortunately, considered critically endangered. Deforestation and habitat loss as well as the illegal pet trade have both contributed to the fate of this species.

The twin babies made their debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom just over a month ago! Have you seen them?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has now welcomed cotton-top tamarin triplets! The new triplets have spent the last few days bonding with their family.

Mom and Dad will share responsibilities and carry the babies on their backs until they are approximately 14 weeks old. They are so cute!
