Universal has released a behind-the-scenes video showing the construction of EPIC Universe. Learn more about what this new theme park means to team members and guests!
EPIC Universe
Universal Orlando created something groundbreaking when it introduced The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Now, Universal Orlando is working on a new theme park called Epic Universe.
It will open in 2025 and will offer an entirely new level of experience that will change theme park entertainment. Guests will travel into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as amazing as the ultimate destination.
Epic Universe will have a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants, and more. This expansion will create more space and freedom to let loose and create lasting memories with the people you love.
Epic Universe will have four themed lands. One of them will be Nintendo Land which was created in Japan and Hollywood but with a bigger footprint. The remaining three will surround a center hub. This lush landscape will have attractions, food service, and lots of other opportunities.
Amazing Technological Advances
Epic Universe will be the most technologically advanced park that Universal has ever done. Next-generation robotic and drone technology will permeate the park’s attractions. The park will also be managed through facial recognition and photo validation technology.
This technology will enable visitors to have a frictionless experience throughout their visit to all of Universal’s properties.
Universal Orlando’s hotel capacity will be expanded to 11,000 rooms by 2025. Another 2,000 hotel rooms will be added as part of Epic. The hotels will be integrated into the park experience uniquely.
