This is something we don’t see often: a very rare character meeting exclusively at a Disney hotel! We would love to see this extend to other resorts!
Opening of Pixar Place
Disney just officially opened the very first Pixar-themed hotel in the United States! Pixar Place Hotel is born out of the reimagining of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, which is Disneyland’s value resort.
In this 15-story high-rise hotel, the exterior has a bright new look! The new lobby features iconic images from Pixar films and a giant Pixar Lamp.
Guests can splash at an all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo” and play at a family play court on the deck with activities inspired by Pixar’s famous short films. By night, the pool deck is the ideal spot to take in amazing views of the Disneyland Park fireworks and lounge by cozy character-inspired fire pits with family and friends.
The Southern California-based modern American eatery, Great Maple, specializes in playful takes on upscale comfort food. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the ground-floor restaurant will be easily accessible to hotel guests, local diners and theme park goers!
New Meet and Greet
At the official grand opening ceremony, Disney announced that a character will be meeting exclusively at Pixar Place. Bing Bong, from Pixar’s Inside Out, may be found creating core memory photos with Guests at select times.
We have never heard of a hotel-exclusive character meet and greet (other than character meals)! Would you love to see these types of experiences expand to other hotels? Could you imagine Frozone and Edna Mode at the Contemporary or Mary Poppins at the Grand Floridian? Maybe Ariel at Caribbean Beach?
Bing Bong himself is a very rare character, and we are happy to see Disney promote Inside Out 2 before its debut this year.
What characters would you love to see at hotels? Will you have the chance to meet Bing Bong on a future trip? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with a friend.
