Disney Guest Jumps Into Water at the Magic Kingdom

Disney Guest Jumps Into Water at the Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom may be The Most Magical Place on Earth, but it’s not a swimming pool. One Guest decided to jump into the water and go for a quick swim as Cast Members and other Guests watched.

An incident reportedly took place yesterday, January 31 at around 2:30 pm at the Magic Kingdom. According to Guest reports, a man jumped into the water that surrounds Tom Sawyer’s Island in Frontierland.

Tom Sawyer Island is a self-guided tour of caves, trees, bridges, passageways, and a fort. Feel like you are stepping into a Tom Sawyer novel as a pioneer. A raft will take you out to the island.

Cast Members threw a life preserver to him, but he still refused to swim toward it or get out of the water. He eventually got out of the water.

We Can’t Believe We Even Have to Remind People

We can’t believe we have to keep putting these reminders on posts like these, but it always bears repeating. Don’t do dumb things at Disney World (or anywhere for that matter).

Not only could he banned for life, but he also put himself at serious risk. He could have been hit by the Liberty Square Riverboat which travels that route or by one of the other rafts on Tom Sawyer Island.

And, let’s not forget about alligators and other wildlife that are present around Disney World. Just a few months, a bear was found in that area. And, Disney catches and releases alligators out of its waters all the time.
