Disney has confirmed the opening date for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon! We think it will be just in time for spring break. See when you can visit the fun water park again.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon has a cool beach vibe. Guests enjoy a tropical paradise previously hit by a typhoon. The theme is well executed and will make you feel like you’re spending the day at the beach! There are rides for guests of every age and thrill level! It is a stark contrast to the Blizzard Beach theming that makes guests feel like they are stuck in a snowstorm.
Typhoon Lagoon requires a separate admission fee or upgrade for Disney’s Annual Passes. Because weather in Florida is typically pretty warm throughout the year, at least one water park remains open all year round. Be sure to check out our guide if you plan to visit this fun water park!
Reopening Date
Typhoon Lagoon has been closed while Disney’s Blizzard Beach has remained open. This is a pretty typical thing to see for Walt Disney World. Today, Disney confirmed an opening date for Typhoon Lagoon.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will reopen to guests on March 17, 2024!
With the mid March reopening date, this is perfect for everyone who is visiting for Spring Break.
A Closing Date
While one water park is preparing to reopen, another will close. Disney has also confirmed that Disney’s Blizzard Beach will close for refurbishment beginning March 17, 2024.
The park remains open now through March 16, 2024. With so many weather changes happening in Florida this time of year, the park will close occasionally due to inclement weather, so be sure to check Disney’s schedule ahead of time if you plan to visit.
