Disney released an early opening for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and now a big milestone has been met for this attraction. What are your best predictions for the opening?
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain officially closed for Walt Disney World guests on January 23, 2023. As the last guests exited the Magic Kingdom that night, work began immediately.
The most notable change was the large construction walls. Crews worked consistently, but for many months there was little to no information. Now it seems that Disney is releasing new information every week for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Yesterday, Disney shared a new opening timeline for this attraction. We also got our first peek at the Tiana animatronic for this attraction. Take a look at the cool attraction details HERE and the storyline HERE.
And, we finally got a peek inside and the height requirement just last month!
New Milestone Reached
Just hours after Disney announced the new opening timeline for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, new signage was revealed along the construction walls. A large mural now features Louis, our favorite trumpet-playing alligator. The new sign invites guests to “come join the party.”
This is not the only change over at Frontierland. Last night, February 13th, Magic Kingdom guests spied something that had not been seen for over a year. At Frontierland for the first time since January 2023, log vehicles began traveling once again.
This testing is a big milestone for this attraction. As Tiana says, “We’re almost there”, and every day this attraction is getting closer to a grand opening.
Log vehicle testing is now underway at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
We understand that we still have some time before guests are welcomed aboard, but this is a welcome sight once again.
What do you think of this new testing? Do you hope that this new reimagining will make this attraction more reliable than it was as Splash Mountain? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
