Do you enjoy hopping to the many different Disney Resorts? Each Disney Resort offers great seasonal decorations, great dining, and even fun entertainment. Many guests enjoy visiting Disney Resorts that they are not even staying at. Now you will need a Virtual Queue to visit this Disney Resort.
Virtual Queues
Love them or hate them, Walt Disney World loves the virtual queue option for guests. A Virtual Queue is utilized rather than a traditional standby line. Over the years, the Virtual Queue is now a bit more user-friendly.
Walt Disney World has introduced Virtual Queues for new attractions and merchandise events. This helps control the standby lines so they don’t get out of control. Disney even announced a new Virtual Queue option for guests purchasing special After Dark events. Read more about this HERE.
New for Disney Resort
If you have ever visited Disney’s Grand Floridian at Christmas, you know that there are a large number of guests visiting the resort simply for the breathtaking gingerbread house display. At times, select Disney Resorts receive quite a few visitors simply to enjoy special offerings.
Recently, we shared that guests can now enjoy rare characters at the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland. Now many Disney fans visit this hotel simply to enjoy the great rare characters. Over at Disneyland Paris, a newly reimagined hotel is also in high demand.
The Disneyland Hotel closed in March 2020 along with all other Disney Resorts. This hotel entered into a huge reimagining during this closure and finally reopened on January 25, 2024.
Guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel can enjoy all of the great amenities, but now Disney fans who are not staying at this hotel will need to join a Virtual Queue to tour this hotel and enjoy the fun offerings.
What you need to know
Starting today, February 17th, those not staying at the resort must join a Virtual Queue on the Lineberty mobile app. You can only join this queue for the day of your visit and this can include up to 4 guests.
This is subject to availability so book this quickly the day of your visit. This may lead many Disney fans to wonder if Disney may implement a similar virtual queue for Disney Resorts here in the United States at some point.
Disney fans who are not staying at this hotel will need to join a Virtual Queue to tour this hotel and enjoy the fun offerings.
Disney has implemented restrictions at select Disney Resorts during high traffic times with parking restrictions and restricted fireworks viewing. It will be interesting if this Virtual Queue will be the next way to control high crowds visiting Disney Resorts.
