Guests planning to enjoy a Disney trip this spring will be happy to know that a popular event is returning! Here is everything we know about this year’s Easter Egg hunt including pictures of this year’s prizes! We hope you get to join in the fun when you hop over to Disney!
Easter in Disney Parks
If you are heading to a Disney park around Easter, you may be wondering what sort of “eggstra” fun you can expect. While Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Easter celebrations are nowhere near the magnitude of what you will find at Halloween or Christmas, there are some special offerings!
First, you can enjoy the fun at select Resorts in Walt Disney World including the chocolate egg displays at the Contemporary and Yacht Club. You might also want to check out the Easter Cottage at the Grand Floridian. Read all about the offerings HERE.
And, of course, you will surely be able to find lots of fun treats. We have already confirmed a fun popcorn bucket for Disneyland. But, that’s not all!
Easter Egg Hunt
Disney just announced that the Eggstravaganza is returning for 2024. This is a fun scavenger hunt that Guests can partake in. Simply purchase an Eggstravaganza map for $9.99 at participating retail locations, then locate all of the sculptural eggs hidden throughout the park to win a prize.
So far the Eggstravaganza has only been confirmed for Disneyland. However, Walt Disney World typically hosts one in EPCOT as well, so stay tuned for that announcement.
You can enjoy this event for nearly a month. It kicks off March 11 and runs through April 9, 2024.
The Prizes
This year, Disneyland is giving out these fun keepsakes to those who complete the map and redeem it at select locations. Guests can choose their favorite while supplies last.
Guests can win a fun keepsake for participating in the Eggstravaganza.
This year’s prizes have received mixed reactions from Guests who love the Eggstravaganza. In the past, Disney has given out fillable Easter Eggs, and some people certainly prefer those prizes.
There is no word on whether Walt Disney World will have the same prizes if the hunt returns to EPCOT. Typically, they are the same, but sometimes Disney throws us a wild card.
Pirate Tip: Also, you should know that technically you do not have to complete the entire map to redeem your prize. However, some people find it more fulfilling to finish the whole hunt.
Are you hoping to participate in the Eggstravaganza this year? Let us know in the comments. And be sure to pass this post along to your friends and family who have a trip planned so that they do not miss out.
