We are So Excited for This Returning Meet and Greet at Animal Kingdom

It’s no secret Animal Kingdom is a bit lackluster in the character department. We are so excited to see another meet and greet return to the park!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has welcomed back characters such as Chip n Dale, Daisy and Donald Duck, Kevin, Mickey & Minnie and Moana. Even though Moana is meeting at EPCOT now with Journey of Water now open, guests can still meet with her at Disney’s Animal Kingdom right now.

And, even more recently, Pocahontas and Meeko are back as well! Read that news right here.

However, one meet and greet has not returned that we have been pretty bummed about. But, Disney just made our day!

Characters Return

Dug and Russel from Pixar’s Up have return to Animal Kingdom! These two are so fun to meet with, but they have been MIA for a few years now with the exception of a few pop up meets.

You can find Dug and Russel at the Wilderness Explorers Clubhouse. This is in Discovery Island near It’s Tough to be a Bug.

Disney shares that the two have returned to the park, but we do not see the schedule on My Disney Experience yet.

Our Best Tips for Meeting Them

We imagine these two will be very popular characters. They are such a fun interaction, and returning characters always have a pretty long wait due to the interest.

Our best tip to meet Dug and Russell is to line up about 10-15 minutes before their set starts.
