Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival is the most beautiful of all the festivals because of the incredible gardens and topiaries throughout the park. Disney really stepped the topiary game this year with music and now projection mapping!
Flower and Garden Festival
Get ready for a burst of flavors because the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is here! From now until May 27, 2024, EPCOT will be transformed into a flower-filled fun time for everyone to enjoy.
From concerts to food and beautiful flower displays, this is one of our favorite festivals. Spring is a great time to enjoy Disney World, and using a Travel Agent can help you with the ins and outs of planning. You can fill out this quote and put my name (Monica) in the Special Request box.
Perhaps one of the most fun things to marvel in during the festival is the topiaries.
New Technology for Topiaries
Disney installs dozens of character topiaries throughout Epcot for the festival. You’ll find Snow White and dwarfs in Germany and Figment in the Imagination Pavilion along with dozens of others.
With the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind just a few years ago, Disney installed a Groot topiary near the attraction. And, he plays music! Read about that HERE.
Now, Disney also installed projection mapping on the Dante topiary, which can be found in the Mexico Pavilion. See the video below:

What is projection mapping?
You have seen projection mapping all over Disney World, even if you have never heard the term before. Projection mapping is the technology Disney uses to put pictures up against something to enhance the experience.
Disney uses projection mapping for Happily Ever After fireworks at Magic Kingdom, Wonderful World of Animation at Hollywood Studios, and Tree of Life Awakenings at Animal Kingdom.
Guests will love seeing the projection on Dante at night – it will provide a different experience on an already beautiful display.
Do you think Disney will utilize more projection mapping around the parks? Let us know in the comments below, and share this post with a friend.
