Stormalong Bay Will be Closed Even Longer at Disney's Beach Club

Guests have many choices when they book their Walt Disney World vacation. Many guests choose their Disney Resort based on the location to the parks while others choose based on amenities.

Beach Club delivers a great location with easy access to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. This resort also offers one of the most popular pools at Stormalong Bay.

At the beginning of 2023, Disney’s Beach Club received a big refurbishment to both its resort rooms and also the main resort areas. Be sure to check out the new updates HERE.

Disney’s Beach Club is home to Stormalong Bay, one of the best feature pools at Disney World! Enjoy a pirate shipwreck, a lazy river, a sand-bottom pool, and so much more. You can read more about why many think it’s the best pool HERE.

Disney does try to update guests on upcoming refurbishments and closures in advance when possible. Back in August, Disney announced that Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool will be closed for 5 months in 2025.

This is quite an extended closure and was originally set for January 2025 until May 2025.

It appears that quite a bit of work is planned for Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool. The Walt Disney World website now states that this refurbishment will extend through June 2025.

Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool will now be closed for 6 months in 2025.
This closure may cause many to make different resort plans for 2025. Although these do not offer the same atmosphere, Guests may still enjoy the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools during this refurbishment.
