This year spring break stretches 44 days, beginning Saturday, February 24th and going until Sunday, April 7th.
Projected Record-Setting Numbers
Spring Break is even busier for MCO than the holidays! They are expecting to see an 11% increase from previous records.
The busiest day is projected to be Saturday, March 23 with 197,697 travelers.
You can see the record-setting numbers that Orlando International expects to see HERE. With these busy crowds, they recommend the 3-2-1 timeline.
The 3-2-1 timeline is as follows: be at the ticket counter at least 3 hours before your departure time. Be sure to head to security 2 hours before your departure time, and be at your gate 1 hour before your departure time.
Busiest Day Ever
In a press release today, Orlando International Airport shared they had their busiest day ever! They broke the new passenger record on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with 102,064 departing passengers.

The daily passenger record was previously set on December 30, 2023. This had 98,521 passengers going through security. The record was broken on Friday, March 15, 2024, but then broken again on Saturday, March 16th.
