The Fort offers a unique way to experience Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to check out the complete guide to The Fort HERE.

If you are considering buying points at the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, you should know some important details. Read HERE to find out some of the details we shared earlier.

Need to Know Information

With this newest resort there is some need-to-know information for Guests wanting to stay. Guests looking to book cash stays were able to begin booking this week.

However, the reservation start date was later than advertised. You can read about that HERE. The cabins are still projected to open on July 1st in a phased opening, we feel that the opening reservations are potentially being reserved for DVC Members booking with points or have the Cabins as a home resort. Read more about when and who can book HERE.

If you plan to visit during a popular time, you will want to read HERE. The availability of a popular Fort Wilderness activity may have you rethinking your reservation.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has also been added to Extra Evening Hours. You can read more about that HERE.

Virtual Tour

You can now take a virtual tour of the new DVC Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. You can “walk” through the cabin and learn about what these new cabins have to offer. When you click on the blue icons, you will get information about the accommodations you will receive, like your own porch and grill and stainless steel appliances.

It is important to note that the virtual tour website states “fixtures and furnishings are subject to change.” There is also a list of amenities on the DVC website.

This list states there is a shower/tub combination where the virtual tour only displays a shower, so be aware that what is shown may not be the final product (as stated above). I (Heather) think many people will be happy to see a full stove and oven in the cabins now. I am also hopeful with these new updated cabins there will be more places to charge our devices. You can read my review of the previous cabins HERE where this was an issue.

Only a few more months until the cabins open. You can click HERE for the virtual tour.
