Disney Will Prohibit Bags at One of its Events

There is much time and preparation spent when deciding which bag to pack for your time at Disney Parks and experiences. However, for one event you won’t be able to bring one.

Disney Parks allow guests to enjoy a land of wonder and leave the cares of this world behind for just a few hours or a few days. To help allow guests to feel safe, Disney continues to enhance safety measures.

One of the best changes to Disney security is the Evolv scanners at all Walt Disney World park entrances. These scanners eliminate all bags being searched.

Many guests cannot imagine a day at Disney without their park bag filled with all that they may want or need.

Last week, Disney announced the D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event for August 9-11, 2024. This event will again take place in Anaheim, CA.

All the fan favorites will return to this year’s event, and fans will get even more—an expanded and more immersive show floor at the Anaheim Convention Center; more shopping; and bigger presentations at evening shows at the Honda Center!

You can find the new pricing scale for this event HERE. Now that this event is expanding to the Honda Center, for evening events, additional security measures are in place.

The Honda Center issues a strict no-bag policy, and Disney will comply with this policy. Bags and purses must be no larger than 5 in. x 9 in. x 2 in. to be permitted and are subject to manual inspection – this includes clear bags. Backpacks, including Loungefly backpacks, are not permitted.

Special allowances will be made for Guests who require a diaper bag or bag for medical items. These include prescription medication, breast pumps, and other special medical equipment. Medical bags can be no larger than 12 in. x 12 in. x 12 in and will undergo additional screening and inspection.
