Marvel is Coming to It’s a Small World

As Disney fans, we love an attraction overlay, and this may be the best one so far! We all know Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. Now he will appear in the iconic “it’s a small world” attraction. You have to see how cute this is going to be.

Children of all ages enjoy the festive dolls singing and scenes from around the world in the “it’s a small world” ride. You might even find yourself humming the iconic “It’s a Small World After All” song long after the ride.

The journey takes you through different locations around the world on a boat with about a dozen other guests. This attraction is a bit different at each Disney Park.

For example, at Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris, some of our favorite Disney movie characters can be found in the attraction.

Groot Overlay

If you are a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy (and if you are not), chances are you know you at least know Groot. The “I Am Groot” series on Disney+ is a great way to enjoy a character that’s only lines are, you guessed it, “I am Groot.” We are still in love with the Groot popcorn bucket at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Tokyo Disneyland announced that “it’s a small world with Groot” will debut in winter 2025. Groot will be joined with his fellow Marvel pals for a limited time. The Marvel overlay will bring Groot and his superhero friends to the attraction for a limited time.

What is amazing is that the Marvel characters will created in the same style and theming as the existing dolls for this attraction.

“it’s a small world” will close in Fall 2024 to prepare for this Marvel overlay.

This marks the first time that Marvel characters will appear at Tokyo Disneyland.
