Will you be visiting Walt Disney World on Earth Day this year? If so, be sure to check out all of the fun celebrations that will be available!
Earth Day
One of the best days to celebrate Earth Day is right at Walt Disney World! There is no better way to get up close and personal to wildlife and appreciate all of the nature surrounding you than at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
During Earth Day, Disney World will typically have fun offerings to commemorate the celebration. Be on the lookout for rare characters, delicious treats, fun Magic Shots and more!
Last year’s celebration was significant as it coincided with Animal Kingdom’s 25th Anniversary.
Special Celebrations
As part of the Disney Earth Day Celebration—from April 1 through April 30, 2024—you may learn to draw such characters as Dumbo from Dumbo, Terk from Tarzan, Crush or Bruce from Finding Nemo, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and Simba from The Lion King at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station.
Wilderness Explorers can have a chance to earn a special Wilderness Explorer nature badge while learning how to connect with nature near you from April 21 to April 28.
Don’t forget to say Hi to your favorite characters around the park, like Dug and Russell. For guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom from April 21 through April 28, there will be special sightings of Disney characters! You will want to be on the lookout for them because they will be rare characters that you cannot see every day.

Plenty of delicious treats will also be available during the month of April. Many treats have been created just for Earth Day!
