Release Date Announced for New Tron Movie

Disney has just announced a release date for the new Tron movie. Find out when this movie is set to hit theaters.

Hey sci-fi fans, you are going to want to check this out! A new Tron movie is coming. This highly anticipated installment is called Tron: AresIt is a followup to Disney’s 1982 TRON and the 2010 sequel, TRON: Legacy.

The movie follows a highly sophisticated Program called Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission. The tale marks humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.

Tron: Ares already began filming in January in Vancouver Canada. Disney shared information regarding who will be starring and producing this new film.

Jared Leto is staring in TRON: Ares.  He will be joined by Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson.

Not only that, but Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger are the producers. Russell Allen serves as executive producer.

It was originally shared that Tron: Ares would be released to theaters sometime in 2025. Disney has now released a date! Tron: Ares will hit theaters on October 10, 2025!
