We haven’t seen many updates for the big Country Bear Jamboree refurbishment until today. Find out what is happening in the Country Bears’ neck of the woods, and check out the cool Country Bear nod elsewhere in the Magic Kingdom.
Country Bears Jamboree
Back in September, Disney announced that Country Bear Jamboree would close to bring a brand new look and vibe to this attraction.
New images, Disney-inspired musical numbers, as well as adding some “love into the attraction and characters” will bring new life to this attraction. Former Imagineer Ethan Reed shared that the plan to bring some new elements to this show began 20 years ago!
The Country Bear Jamboree officially closed on January 27, 2024. Long lines of guests crowded Frontierland, to enjoy the original show of this attraction just one more time.
Country Bear Update
The most obvious change will come to the name of this attraction. When it reopens it will be called the Country Bear Musical Jamboree in 2024.
Today in Frontierland, we noticed the original Country Bear Jamobree sign is now removed from the entrance of this attraction.
Disney filed a new permit to “Install set elements and piping” for this attraction. Work will be completed by the Themetics Corporation.
New Country Bear Nod
While in Frontierland, we checked out the new additions near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. When looking inside the window of Critter Co-op we noticed a nod to the Country Bears.
Original Country Bear Jamboree sign is now removed from Frontierland.
This is such a fun Easter egg for this new attraction. It will be great when both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Musical Jamboree opens soon.
What do you think of this fun nod for the Country Bears? Will you check out this new show for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree when it reopens?
