Harry Potter theming at Universal Orlando is simply the best! And dining is no exception. See why you don’t want to miss the amazing Three Broomsticks Harry Potter-themed restaurant.
Location
Three Broomsticks Restaurant is located at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade section. If you’re at Universal Studios Florida, take the Hogwarts Express train ride in Diagon Alley. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience, but you’ll need a park-to-park ticket to ride it!
When I (Susan) recently visited Universal and Islands of Adventure, I purchased the Express Pass. Check out if it’s worth it HERE.
When visiting Hogsmeade, take in all the wonderful details in every nook and cranny. You can even mail a postcard from the Owl Post here. Experience the Forbidden Journey and the Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Harry Potter-themed attractions here, too.
Theming
Enjoy the ultimate dining experience for Harry Potter fans at Three Broomsticks in Universal. The restaurant offers a delicious menu in a cozy atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for Harry Potter dining.
Visit Three Broomsticks to immerse yourself in a magical world while savoring a fantastic meal.
Be sure to walk around the restaurant to take in all the elements adapted from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie. In the Harry Potter story, Three Broomsticks is a well-known pub in the magical village of Hogsmeade.
Seating
Seating is plentiful and packed in pretty tight. If you’re looking for a place to escape the crowds, then you may want to sit on the outdoor patio.
If you’re looking for a quieter seating location, check out the back patio.
Although this restaurant is huge, it’s broken up into smaller dining rooms to lessen the noise and make it feel smaller. The high ceilings and detailed theming give the feeling of being in the Harry Potter movie!
Breakfast
Three Broomsticks serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sample the great feast platter and other British classics here. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM daily.
Breakfast includes the following choices:
- Traditional English breakfast – scrambled eggs, sausage links, black pudding, English bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, and breakfast potatoes.

Monica and I ordered the Pancake breakfast and the traditional English breakfast at Universal’s other Harry Potter restaurant, The Leaky Cauldron. Check out Monica’s review of this cool restaurant HERE.
Lunch and Dinner
Menus for lunch and dinner are the same. Guests can order off this menu anytime after 10:30 AM. If your party is hungry, you may want to share The Great Feast. It serves 4 people and includes a garden salad, smoked chicken & spare ribs, corn on the cob, and roast potatoes.
Other menu items include the following choices:
- Spareribs platter – served with corn on the cob and roast potatoes
- Chicken and ribs platter – served with corn on the cob and roast potatoes

How to Order
Three Broomsticks is open every day of the week from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM (or park closing time if earlier). Instead of ordering through a cashier, Three Broomsticks uses mobile ordering through the Universal app. And you don’t need a reservation to eat here.
After ordering, we (Monica and Susan) waited in a short line to be seated. Then, a team member escorts you to a designated table. While it’s nice to mobile order and be seated, you will be seated close to other tables.
Three Broomsticks uses mobile ordering on the Universal app.
After being seated, you put your table number into the app so the restaurant knows exactly where to deliver your food. The entire process was easy. Team members were also attentive when we asked for more water and napkins while eating.
What We Ordered
We came hungry and wanted to try as many things as possible. Take a look and see what we ordered below.
Entrees
I (Susan) ordered the chicken and ribs platter. Monica preferred the ribs and I liked the smoked chicken the best. The ribs fell off the bone and contained a decent amount of rib meat. The barbeque sauce had a nice blend of sweet and spicy.
Then, the smoked roasted chicken was tender and flavorful. It was lightly smoked and it didn’t overwhelm the dish. This is a large portion and can easily be shared.
Both of the sides were amazing. The roasted potatoes were thinly sliced and sauteed with rosemary and other herbs. I liked these so much that I made them at home! The corn on the cob was warm, had a slight grilled flavor, and was sweet. I enjoyed this entree and would order it again!
Monica ordered the fish and chips. It came with 3 pieces of battered fish that were crispy and fresh. The fries were tasty, but not very warm. The pieces of fish are also pretty small, so if you come with an appetite you may want to order additional items.
Sides and Desserts
We ordered a side of watermelon. It had a sweet flavor and was refreshing on a hot day. And the portion size made it shareable.
Next, we tried the freshly baked apple pie and the chocolate trifle. The chocolate trifle is layered chocolate cake with fresh berries and cream. However, it only had a couple of berries and was mostly cream. We thought it was okay but didn’t finish it.
The apple pie was our favorite! The minced pieces of apples were perfectly spiced with a cinnamon mix and the strudel topping was perfection. I would come back to Three Broomsticks just for this! It was a generous portion of deliciousness.
Beverages
And don’t forget to try the iconic butter beer and pumpkin juice! My favorite of the 2 was the butter bear. It tasted like cream soda with a hint of vanilla.
There is a walk-up bar area where guests can order Butterbeer and other beverages without mobile ordering.
We enjoyed the food because it was a notch above standard theme park food. The theming is also not to be missed! Hope you’ll give it a try on your next Universal visit.

I prefer Leaky Cauldron for breakfast, but the lunch/dinner options are better at Three Broomsticks (IMO).
