Universal has various categories of hotels, with premier hotels being the most “expensive.” Let me show you how they are cheaper than you may think and why you should consider booking one instead of the lower-priced categories.
Universal Hotel Categories
Universal has several room categories, all with different price points, amenities, and perks. All Universal Hotels offer Early Park Admission and free transportation to the parks, among other benefits.
The hotel categories are: Value (Endless Summer Resort Dockside and Surfside), Prime Value (Aventura and Cabana Bay), Preferred (Loews Sapphire Falls), and Premier (Loews Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, and Portofino Bay).
The Premier Hotels are the most expensive hotels Universal offers, but they do offer one incredible perk that no other hotel has: free Universal Express Unlimited!
Universal Express Unlimited
No one wants to wait in line. Enter: the Universal Express Pass! Many guests pay the upcharge for the Express Pass when visiting. This allows them to skip the regular line and wait in the Express Lane which has a significantly less wait time.
By saving time they are able to see more of the park and spend more time on attractions than in line. However, the Universal Express Unlimited pass can cost up to hundreds of dollars per person per day. This adds up very quickly over the course of the vacation.
Now, I know you have put two and two together by now! It may end up costing you LESS to book a Premier Hotel with a free pas than booking a lower-valued hotel and purchasing Universal Express Unlimited.
Premier Hotels Offer a Better Bang for your Buck
Some guests secure a lower-valued resort such as Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort and then add tickets with Universal Express Unlimited to the package. However, this usually makes the total price of the package comparable (and sometimes more) than a package that includes one of the premier hotels.
For the three Premier hotels, you are much closer to the theme parks, have deluxe resort amenities, multiple dining options, and upscale pools. The best part is the complimentary Universal Express Unlimited that is offered to any guest that stays at any of these three resorts!
I would much rather pay the same price for a nicer hotel that is in walking distance of the theme parks, wouldn’t you? Your Royal Carriage Vacations travel agent will be able to pinpoint which of the three premier hotel options will work best for your family. I can even provide more details about the kid suites at each hotel: Rock Star Future Suite, Despicable Me Suite, or Jurassic Kids Suites!
In addition, your Royal Carriage Vacations travel agent can also provide attraction details to make the most of your Universal Express Unlimited pass to maximize your fun and minimize your costs. See details below for how to contact me:
