Universal Accident Sends Several People to the Hospital

An accident at Universal Studios sent several people to the hospital. The cause of the accident is still unknown at this time, but here is what we know so far.

Universal Studios Hollywood is home to several great attractions, including the recently opened Super Nintendo World. While it is much smaller than its East Coast counterpart, it still has a lot to offer.

For example, the Studios Tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at the actual working studio. You may see a film being shot or a celebrity.

Unfortunately, one of the tours came to a brieft halt when the tram got into accident.

The incident took place during the Studio Tour. The tour is celebrating 60 years of this iconic attraction.

“Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. Step off the tram and onto the studio backlot to visit an iconic film set, join immersive photo-ops, enjoy new themed food and merchandise, and much more.”

Yesterday, April 20, one of the trams experienced a crash, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department was called to the scene. You can see the tweet below:

Multiple people were injured in the crash and sent to the hospital.

Universal then shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporter confirming that there was indeed a tram incident that resulted in minor injuries. The park is still unsure what led to the accident.
