Hard Closure Now Affecting Disney World Resort

Do you enjoy different Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy dining and amenities? Now Disney is setting up tighter restrictions that may put a damper on your next trip to Walt Disney World.

For most dates, all guests are free to visit Walt Disney World Resorts, but restrictions have been put in place on a few occasions. We have seen such restrictions for the 4th of July and Halloween for example.

Halfway to Halloween

Fort Wilderness goes out all for Halloween! Many campers love to visit Disney during this time and decorate their campsite.

What many may be unaware of is that Halloween is not the only time to enjoy this fun celebration. Disney loves to celebrate “Halfway to Halloween”, and Fort Wilderness joins in the celebration.

Many guests staying at Fort Wilderness this weekend will enjoy all of the fun of Halloween in the spring. Some guests call it “Spring-ween” while others call it “Howl-O-Spring”. Whatever you call it, it sounds like fun.

Hard Closure

Cast Members at Fort Wilderness share that due to these activities, Fort Wilderness has a hard closure until April 29, 2024. This will limit access to guests with a resort or dining reservation ONLY.

A “hard closure” for Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is in effect through April 29, 2024.

Typically guests can add a “Day Guest” to their resort reservation. For this hard closure starting today, April 25th through April 29th, this option will not be available. If you are hoping to visit Disney’s Fort Wilderness & Campground for the Halloween festivities you will need to make a dining reservation as soon as possible.
