If you’re looking for a cool escape from the heat at Disney World, check out the exclusive new lounge located inside EPCOT. But hurry, it’s only available for a limited time!
Prepare To Wait
Recently, Disney announced that VIP Passholder Days would return, giving Disney World Annual Passholders merchandise discounts, a Stitch magnet, and a new exclusive lounge. It’s located at the now-closed Restaurant Marrakesh in the Moroccan Pavilion.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can take a break and relax at the Passholder Lounge from May 1st to June 18, 2024.
Since it opened, the pavilion has been extremely popular, resulting in long waiting times outside and inside the lounge. While the lounge is worth the wait, I (Susan) hope they will soon use a virtual queue system to reduce waiting time.
Lounge Perks
Last year’s VIPassholder Lounge was a small section blocked off at the Sunshine Seasons dining area. However, this year it’s in a much better location!
Enjoy complimentary snacks, water, and Moroccan Mint tea at the lounge.
In addition to snacks and drinks, there is ample seating and 2 charging stations. This is a great way to recharge your electronics and yourself in the cool air conditioning.
Rare Character Meet
Disney teased that there would be surprise characters recently, but didn’t specify who would be here. However, I’m so excited to see Genie here! He usually only meets during events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
It’s so cool that lounge guests can meet and interact with Genie! He is such a fun character to meet.
Disney did a great job with the backdrop of Genie’s meet! And time will tell if other characters will meet here, or if Genie will greet guests the entire time.
Are you excited about this new Passholder Lounge? Do you plan to visit it now or wait until the crowds lessen? Let us know in the comments and share this post with a Disney-loving friend.
