Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors will be featured as part of Disney’s enduring admiration for those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces and veterans.
Former President
This special exhibit comes courtesey from the George W. Bush Institute. Former President Bush has a deep personal committment to honor our brave service members and veterans.
The exhibit will feature over 60 paintings of those who have served since 9/11. President Bush himself painted these after coming to know them.
According to Disney, each painting is accompanied by the inspiring story of the veteran depicted and guests visiting the exhibit will learn more about these military heroes’ journey. These include tales of valiant service on the battlefield, resilience in recovering from injury to the continued leadership and contributions they make in their post-military careers. Even better is that each story was personally written by President Bush himself.
In addition, resources for veterans will be available at the exhibit, including tools to help with mental health. To those who served or are serving, we thank you.
