Are you growing impatient waiting for an opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World? We now know it will likely open by this set date.
Opening Timeline
Disney continues to promote this attraction heavily with sneak peeks of animatronics and other ride elements. We are learning so much about this attraction, from the new critters to the fact that Imagineers are testing the ride vehicles!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain and will open in the summer of 2024. While summer can mean anywhere from Memorial Day to Labor Day, we still have not received a more precise opening timeline.
Earlier we shared a possible timeline for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with an opening in June 2024. Read more about this possible opening HERE.
New Opening Update
While we still wait for Walt Disney World to make an opening date announcement, we have a glimmer of good news.
As Disney released all of the Halloween news this morning for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, and Halloween on the High Seas, they also shared more about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is on August 9, 2024. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is included in the list of attractions that guests can enjoy during this party.
Opening Date
Although this does not give us a definite opening date, it does give us a bit of parameter. This inclusion of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure indicates that it will at least open by August 9, 2024, rather than closer to Labor Day.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will likely open before August 9, 2024.
Update: Several hours after initially including Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on the featured attractions for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Disney backtracked and removed this attraction.
What do you think of this timeline? Do you still think the attraction may open in June? Does this help you plan for your next trip to Magic Kingdom? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
