Peter Pan’s Flight is a classic attraction that still holds high wait times every single day at the Magic Kingdom. This popular attraction is now set for a refurbishment. Find out all that we know so far.
Refurbishments
Refurbishments may take place for various reasons. Whether it be for mechanical issues or cosmetic updates, a refurbishment can take place for many reasons. Based on the nature of the work, the refurbishment may take a few days or several months.
Stay prepared for your next trip by checking out our master list of refurbishments HERE. Many times, Disney will try to keep attractions open while refurbishments are underway, but at times full attraction closures are necessary.
As many guests prepare for summer vacations, these refurbishments may be a bit of a disappointment. Check out the lengthy refurbishment coming to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad HERE.
New Permit Filed
Many times we discover that refurbishments may be coming based upon the permits filed the Disney Parks. Yesterday, Disney filed a permit for Peter Pan’s Flight at the Magic Kingdom.
The contractor for this project is InterAmerica Stage Inc. for the installation of set elements. This contractor provides work on many projects across the Walt Disney World Resort.
There is no additional information on what these “set elements” may include. This could be a simple refresh that could go unnoticed by guests or something more detailed.
What you need to know
Walt Disney World has not announced a refurbishment for Peter Pan’s Flight. The permit filed may include work that may be completed after hours, or, if needed, this could cause the attraction to close.

We will continue to monitor this attraction to see if operating hours may change in the coming weeks and months.
