Calling all Mouseketeers! Get a first look at Walt Disney World’s newest meet-and-greet location for Mickey Mouse and his pals. Do you like this new look and location?
CommuniCore
The countdown is on as EPCOT prepares to open CommuniCore Plaza on June 10, 2024. In CommuniCore Hall, you can enjoy serene views and exciting experiences. You can also enjoy the geometric exterior design inspired by Spaceship Earth.
The most exciting feature is that once again Mickey Mouse & his pals are all in one space. While construction was underway at EPCOT Mickey and Minnie Mouse greeted guests near the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival.
The CommuniCore Hall will also feature the brand new Encanto show “¡Celebración Encanto!”. For more on this new show click HERE. This location will also bring back a fan-favorite food location too.
Sneak Peek
We still have several days before CommuniCore opens, but Disney just shared a sneak peek inside this new meet-and-greet location. The backdrop is set for our favorite pals.
We love the vibrant backdrop that is shown in this sneak peek. First up is our favorite pal Mickey Mouse, followed by Minnie Mouse, and then Goofy.
They are all featured in their classic outfits similar to how they greeted guests at the former EPCOT Character Stop. Check out the full sneak peek below:
What do you think of this new look?
Many Disney fans commented that they were disappointed that these were the same characters as featured at EPCOT previously. We are hoping that maybe additional characters may also greet guests here too.

It will be great to have this fun character experience return. One of my (Donna) favorite memories is when Goofy photobombed our picture with Mickey Mouse at the former Character Stop.
