Enjoy Free Trivia with Prizes in Disney World

One of the best parts about visiting Walt Disney World is that you never know when an extra bit of magic is waiting for you just around the corner! One piece of extra magic we love coming across is free trivia with prizes! See how you might be able to stumble across a little extra fun during your visit!

Vacations in Walt Disney World can be pricey. And, with more and more a la carte offerings that come at upcharges, Guests can feel as if they are constantly having to spend money to have a good time.

This is why we absolutely cherish the little pieces of magic included in every Disney trip that are accessible to anyone at no additional charge. The average park guest can stumble across them by accident (or on purpose if they know where to look).

For example, we love getting to take a spin on Cinderella’s Special Horse on the Carrousel. It is really fun to be the one to name the Forgetful Troll over in Norway. Need some Pixie Dust? The Fairy Godmothers over at Sir Mickey’s have quite literally got you covered!

But, that’s not all! There are still quite a few free little things, including unexpected prizes.

Free Trivia Game with Prizes

Every now and then, you might just stumble upon Cast Members hosting trivia! My family has had the pleasure of finding trivia spots several times.

If you see Cast Members set up with a colorful wheel, find out what they are up to! More often than not, they are there to enjoy playing trivia with Guests for prizes!

Once, Cast Members asked Disney Parks trivia in exchange for free Dino Land plushies. Another time, they asked Disney Movies trivia and gave out Safety Cards for correct answers! Another time, the kids received Easter-themed prizes.

When and Where to Find It

So far, we have encountered trivia at resort pools as part of the resort activities and at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Cast Members at the pools may or may not have little prizes. It seems to be random.

At Animal Kingdom, we stumbled across it happening near the Mobile Check-Out points at retail locations such as Island Merchantile at the front of the park.

Be on the look out for triva and fun prizes to pop up randomly.

Unfortunately, the timing is completely random. We spoke to a Cast Member who told us it is a “special assignment” that only happens every so often. We tend to notice it when the parks are particularly crowded around Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Spring Break.

Just know that if you see a Cast Member or two set up with a little spinning wheel of colors, it is a good sign that there is trivia happening! Ask and see if you can play along!
