New: Epic Universe May Open Sooner Than Expected!

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s third theme park, and boy, does it look epic! We have just heard the park may be able to open sooner than expected! Here is what we know.

Universal Orlando created something groundbreaking when it introduced The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Now, Universal Orlando is working on a new theme park called Epic Universe.

It will open in 2025 and will offer an entirely new level of experience that will change theme park entertainment. Guests will travel into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as amazing as the ultimate destination.

Epic Universe will have a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants, and more. This expansion will create more space and freedom to let loose and create lasting memories with the people you love.

Opening Early?

While nothing official other than “2025” has bounced around, it’s been widely believed summer 2025 would mark the opening of the third park. However, it may occur earlier than that!

Steve Tatham is the Executive Creator Director of Epic Universe and he recently told the Superbold Podcat that “it’s set to open at the beginning of next year, before next summer.”

Universal has not specifically put out an opening timeline for next year, but this could be a good indication that work is progressing rapidly and the park will be ready before the summer break crowds arrive.

What does this mean for you?

While we certainly don’t recommend booking your 2025 vacation around Tatham’s remarks, this is a good indication that if you DO plan a trip next year there is a decent chance Epic Universe will be open.
