Is This Magic Kingdom Dining Location Closed?

Magic Kingdom offers many great attractions but leaves many guests wanting more dining options. Now a dining location appears to have closed, but find out why this may be a good thing.

While Magic Kingdom may be the most well-known theme park in the world, it is not exactly known for its dining. Many guests enjoy the princess character dining experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table and dining with the Beast at Be Our Guest, but this park still needs a bit more for unique dining.

Many guests may often overlook the quick-service dining option at Tortuga Tavern. This is located across from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland.

Torgua Tavern does not offer Mobile Ordering and features very limited hours. Today, this location appears as closed with all kiosks completely covered.

Hours are not posted on the Walt Disney World website for today or throughout August 6th. The My Disney Experience app marks this location as closed.

There is no word if Tortuga Tavern is officially closed. However, this possible closure does make us pretty excited.

If you remember back to the Destination D23 Fan Event held in September, Imagineer Chris Beatty announced that an all-new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern is coming to the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World!

Disney did not announce where this Tavern may be located, but many assume that this may take over the Tortuga Tavern location. Disney shared the above concept art but did not share an opening timeframe for this new Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern.

This could simply be a temporary closure for Tortuga Tavern, but at this time is unclear. Keep following along for more updates on this dining location.
