Many Disney guests have their countdowns all set for their Walt Disney World vacation, but now many are being notified that dining will be affected by their upcoming resort stay. Find out which resort is affected and what this means for your upcoming Disney trips.
Refurbishments
Refurbishment sparks dread around the Disney Parks. From time to time our favorite attractions are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment.
While Guests prepare for upcoming Disney vacations, much time is devoted to selecting the perfect Resort and dining locations for their trip. What Guests may not always consider are current refurbishments scheduled for their Disney Resort.
Although unwelcome, these refurbishments are needed. Typically, Disney provides advanced warnings for work so guests may choose a different resort, but this refurbishment is taking many by surprise.
Dining Refurbishment
Guests have many dining options while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. The resort dining locations are a great and convenient option for most guests to visit to grab a quick snack, breakfast for the day, or a meal after leaving the parks.
Walt Disney World is now sending emails to guests with upcoming stays at POP Century that the Everything POP Food Court will close for a refurbishment starting July 29th through late September.
Guests of All-Star Movies received a similar email notification. It appears that once work is completed at All-Star Movies, work will shift to POP Century.
What you need to know
During this refurbishment, the Everything POP Food Court will remain open. Food and beverage orders must be placed using Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app.
The beverage stations will still be accessible to guests.
Alternate entrances will be in place and Disney shares that additional seating will be available for guests. With now two value resorts affected by dining refurbishments, we wonder if another Value Resort may receive a dining refurbishment later this fall.
What do you think of this dining refurbishment? Would you change your resort reservation based on this change? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
