Well, this is a sad day. Earlier this week we shared great news regarding Mickey waffles, but now we must follow that up with sad news. Our favorite variety of Mickey waffles are gone from Disney World.
Mickey Waffles
Disney loves its Mickey-shaped treats. Mickey ice cream sandwiches, Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey beignets, Mickey pretzels, Mickey waffles. Nothing says you’re at Disney quite like food in the shape of our favorite mouse!
You can find Mickey waffles almost everywhere on Disney World property. They are a staple at breakfast buffets, and you can find them on almost every quick-service restaurant’s menu.
You’ll even find them in various sizes (gigantic ones at Sleepy Hollow) and varieties (churro Mickey waffles at Crystal Palace).
Mickey Waffles Return to One Restaurant
Breakfast returned to one quick-service dining location in Hollywood Studios this past week. Hollywood Studios is not exactly known for its food game, so it’s nice to see another option available.
Fairfax Fare is also serving Mickey waffles now! However, this platter does not come with berries and whipped cream like its next door neighbor, Hollywood Scoops. It is a more savory platter with bacon.
You can read the full story HERE. However, be warned that with this good news comes a bit of sad news.
Our Favorite Waffles are GONE
As I mentioned above, Hollywood Scoops has (now had) Mickey waffles that were stuffed with berries and served with whipped cream. This was my favorite variety of Mickey waffles.
However, they have been taken off the menu along with the morning mimosa. In addition, the operating hours are now 10:00 am.
It appears Fairfax Fare took over breakfast duties from Hollywood Scoops. I just wish they had the same waffles! Looks like I’ll be grabbing my fix at Sleepy Hollow.
Did you know about these special Mickey waffles? Let us know if you see them elsewhere on property! And, be sure to share this post with your Mickey waffle-loving friends.
