Without much warning, Magic Kingdom is closing an entire land to guests. Here’s how to make sure you can still ride.
Park Changes
Walt Disney World reserves the right to make changes to park hours, entertainment offerings, attraction hours, and more. This can be frustrating for guests making touring plans to enjoy their favorite attractions during their trip.
What once seemed like a “ghost town” over in Frontierland is now abuzz with activity as Cast Member Previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are well underway.
With these previews and media events, we suspect that may be the cause for the closing of The Hall of Presidents. Now there are even more changes to be aware of.
Early Closure
This morning kicks off a BIG media event over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Frontierland is feeling it today. Walt Disney World posted signage that Frontierland will close early today for ticketed guests.
Posted signs share that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will close today at 4:30 pm. The rest of Frontierland will be available until 5:00 pm.
This is a definite change from the normal hours of operation. If you are visiting Magic Kingdom today, you will want to adjust your touring plan.
What you need to know
If you were hoping to enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at night, that plan needs to change. You will now need to make plans to enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad earlier in the day.
Frontierland will close at 5:00 pm today.
This may lead to other attractions having increased wait times later in the day. This will also affect the operational hours of Tom Sawyer Island. This location will also close at 4:30 pm today.
Will this affect your day? What do you think of Disney changing operational hours for an entire land? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
