More Technical Difficulties Stop runDisney Registration

Unfortunately, runDisney runners are not surprised when registration is more stressful than the actual race.

runDisney adds the activity of running to our favorite place, Disney! There are four runDisney event weekends in Walt Disney World, two weekends in Disneyland, and virtual races you can complete anywhere you would like!

I (Heather) love runDisney events. They are unlike any other race you will experience, from the atmosphere to the on-course entertainment.

Registration Stopped

Yesterday, athletes were at the ready to register for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. However, things did not go as planned.

Athletes were first met with the “we are working on it page.” Eventually, runDisney posted that they were having technical difficulties.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time runDisney athletes have faced trouble with registration. Nobody can forget the chaos of registration for the 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

Registration Date to be Determined

General registration never opened yesterday for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. runDisney did post to their Instagram stating:

Attention #runDisney community: We apologize for the technical issues which have impacted general registration for the 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend presented by HONDA. Today’s on-sale is paused while we work to address these issues. We commit to providing advance notice prior to activating new sales and strive to make the process as smooth as possible. Please check back soon for updates on a new registration date.

Many athletes were happy to find that runDisney will announce a new registration date, and not just open registration at any point without notice. No date has been announced at this time.
