Disney Upsets Guests With Big Changes to Dining Packages

Disney Upsets Guests With Big Changes to Dining Packages

Watch your Advanced Dining Reservations, because this change may make you rethink your dining plans. This greedy change leaves guests frustrated and making alternative dining plans.

Dining Packages

There are many places to enjoy a good meal throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. For select entertainment experiences, guests can purchase a dining package to enjoy a special viewing location.

This is often at EPCOT for popular festival entertainment and also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic!

The Fantasmic! Dining Package is available at these select dining locations.  Along with a delicious meal, this will also offer reserved seating for Fantasmic! in the center of the amphitheater. You can get a full review of this experience HERE.

Big Change

Not only will Fantasmic! Dining Packages see a price increase, they will also see a decrease in appeal. Starting on August 29th, appetizers will no longer be included in this Dining Package.

Currently, guests can enjoy an entree and appetizer or dessert at select full-service restaurants along with a non-alcoholic beverage. Starting August 29th, this will change to an entree and dessert along with a non-alcoholic beverage or alcoholic beverage (for guests 21 and older).

The options at buffet dining will remain the same with the addition of an alcoholic beverage (for guests 21 and older). This change to no longer offer an appetizer to now include an alcoholic beverage will not likely be a popular one among Disney fans.

Price Increase

Along with this change, comes another even more dreadful change with big price increases. At all dining locations, the price will increase by $6 for adult Fantasmic! Dining Packages. The price for children ages 3-9 will remain the same.

This is a big price increase starting on August 29th. With adult pricing starting at age 10, this increase in price for the addition of an alcoholic beverage option seems quite unpopular.

Space 220 diners will be pleased to hear this addition of more alcohol consumption. As will park employees. Great atmosphere for children too. I understand they will be adding a "Swing the Stantion" attraction in Epcot.

I don't drink alcohol, so now I will be charged the equivalent of an alcoholic drink and no appetizer. Lose lose
