Halloween is a great time to visit the parks. There is even more fun in store for Guests visiting this Halloween season.
Halloween at Disneyland
Halloween season at Disneyland Resort runs from August 23rd through October 31st. Plaza de le Familia will run through November 2, 2024.
Haunted Mansion will return with the fan-favorite Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. Be sure to read HERE for important information for when this ride reopens.
Oogie Boogie Bash is also returning this year with even more dates! Check out HERE for when tickets go on sale for Magic Key holders and the general public.
Disneyland Park
At Disneyland Park Mickey and Minne and their friends will be dressed in new festive attire! Their new looks will feature skeleton inspirations and fun colorful patchwork patterns.
“Halloween Screams” will return! Guests will receive dreadful delight as this nighttime spectacular features supernatural projections and other ghostly special effects. These can be seen from the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” facade, Rivers of America, and along Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland park. Guests are in for a real treat, as on select nights, “Halloween Screams” will be enhanced with fireworks.
Our favorite seasonal decor will return with the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. The iconic Mickey Pumpkin will be back!
Disney California Adventure
In Disney California Adventure park, Halloween motifs will add to the festive feel on Buena Vista Street. The Headless Horseman will appear each night!
A new daily offering will be happening this season. The interactive “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” shows at the Disney Theater. This show will have younger Guests joining in the not-so-spooky songs and dancing along with Mickey and Minnie. A mad scientist will be the host of the show.
Head over to Cars Land to see the residents in their Haul-O-Ween outfits. Radiator Springs has also transformed to Radiator Screams, having a ghoulish decor and the transformation of Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Each night, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy Monster After Dark. This is a fun seasonal overlay!
Plaza de la Familia Celebrates Dia de los Muertos runs and will bring festive food and exciting live entertainment. This celebration happens through November 2, 2024. The musical celebration of Pixar’s “Coco” will have a new name, story, and costumes this year. Several performances will happen throughout the day.
Even More Halloween Fun
Guests will also get to enjoy the fall theming in the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney District.
Halloween-themed treats will be available throughout Disneyland Resort. Two treats that we know will be back are the Halloween funnel cake at Stage Door Cafe in Disneyland park and the al pastor tacos at Paradise Garden Grill in Disney California Adventure park. Be sure to check back with us once Disney reveals more ghostly treats.
New merchandise will be available which will include apparel, headwear, accessories, and more.
At Goofy’s Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel, you will find Goofy and his pals in their seasonal outfits. Guests visiting Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa will enjoy a new autumn-inspired breakfast and brunch along with festive decor and characters debuting new looks!
Last but certainly not least, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit will return! This is a fun activity for the whole family. Search for Disney character-themed pumpkins through the Downtown Disney District, Disneyland park, and/or Disney California Adventure park. This is the first time this has been offered in the parks!
