EPIC Universe
Universal Orlando broke new ground with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Now, they’re creating a new theme park called Epic Universe, set to open in 2025.
Epic Universe will offer a whole new level of theme park entertainment. Guests will go on adventures through beloved stories and vibrant lands, where the journey is as amazing as the destination.
This expansion will include a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants, and more. See details for Super Nintendo World and Isle of Berk.
Dark Universe Details
Get ready to experience the Universal Classic Monsters like never before at Dark Universe, one of the five unique worlds at Universal Epic Universe. Check out the amazing first look at this mysterious world and hear about the exciting rides and experiences.
The Frankenstein Experience
Dr. Victoria Frankenstein carries on her ancestors’ work deep below the family estate in “Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.”
It’s so cool that Dark Universe features classic monsters like The Wolf Man, Frankenstein, The Mummy and the Creature from the Black Lagoon!
During a demonstration of her experiments to control monsters, things go wrong when Dracula leads a rebellion of angry monsters, including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Encounter Monsters
Enter the fog-shrouded world of Dark Universe for monstrous thrills and horror. Wander through Darkmoor Village and meet its residents, including Frankenstein’s Monster, Ygor, The Invisible Man, a monster hunter, and a musician.
You’ll meet a variety of strange and unusual characters who are happy to pose for photographs in Darkmoor Village including Frankenstein’s Monster and the Bride of Frankenstein.
Experiences
Maleva, the leader of The Guild of Mystics, welcomes you to a secluded wagon camp. Here, you are warned about the creatures that prowl the deep woods. Soon, you will be riding the Curse of the Werewolf, surrounded by glowing eyes and gnashing teeth as you spin and weave through the forest, trying to escape a pack of werewolves.
The Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience is located in Dr. Pretorius’ old lab, where skilled artisans help customers bring their love of Universal Monsters to life. Whether it’s werewolves, vampires, mummies, or other creatures, visitors can unleash their inner monsters with the help of talented artists.
Dining
And you can feast at the monster-themed Das Stakehaus, an old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs. This dining spot is themed around vampires!
Another dining spot is The Burning Blade Tavern. The Burning Blade Tavern is the old mill that Darkmoor Village’s monster hunters have transformed into their hangout. Here guests will discover stories of some of the countryside’s most accomplished creature captures. The menu features burgers, wings, bratwursts, pretzels and beverages.
Last, but not least is De Lacey’s Cottage. It will serve snacks and sweets including ice cream, cinnamon bread, and twisted taters.
