Festival of the Holidays is a must-do if you are visiting Epcot this holiday season! In a slew of Christmas announcements, Disney shared new details for the festival.
Festival of the Holidays
The holiday season is truly magical at EPCOT. The Festival of the Holidays is an amazing experience where guests can enjoy the beautiful Candlelight Processional, try delicious holiday food booths, take part in a fun scavenger hunt and cookie stroll, and enjoy great entertainment!
We are excited to see Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses return as a holiday overlay. However, the Christmas overlay for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will not return after a major 2022 fail.
Disney has just released the dates for this year’s festival. Mark your calendars because Festival of the Holidays will take place from November 29 through December 30.
Offerings
The star of the festival is the Storytellers who share their customs and traditions around the World Showcase. Storytellers create an authentic experience for those looking to learn more about the countries!
You can read all about my best tips for ensuring you see ALL the storytellers during your visit in this post. I even included a sample schedule based on the showtimes for that particular day!
We will also see the return of EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional and Holiday Kitchens. Be sure to follow along for a complete list of narrators for this special event plus the menus which will all be released at a later date.
What does this mean to you
One thing I (Monica) really dislike about Festival of the Holidays is that it begins later than the rest of the holiday festivities at Disney World. Epcot is a few weeks behind the other parks due to Food and Wine ending in late November.
Festival of the Holidays starts on November 29.
Because of this, if you don’t plan a December trip you are not truly experiencing everything Disney World has to offer for the holiday season. To me, Festival of the Holidays is a must do so I always try to plan my Christmas trip for early December. You may want to consider doing the same so you can experience everything!
Will your holiday trip coincide with Festival of the Holidays this year? Let us know in the comments below. And, be sure to share this post with a friend who also wants to visit this year!
