New Registration Date for runDisney Weekend

runDisney has finally announced when athletes can register for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Find out when you will need to be ready to register for this sure-to-be-sold-out event.

runDisney adds the activity of running to our favorite place, Disney! There are race weekends on both coasts and even virtual events for those at home.

Completing both a 10-mile race or longer on both coasts (one at Disney World and one at Disneyland) in the same calendar year will get you the coveted Coast to Coast Challenge medal.

Registration Glitch

Last week, athletes were ready to register for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. However, technical issues stopped athletes before registration even opened!

General registration never opened!

runDisney athletes have seen registrations cause more stress than the actual race. We are talking about you, 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

New Registration Date

runDisney has just posted an update on the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend registration. The new registration date will be on July 2, 2024 at 10:00 am ET / 7:00 am PT.

runDisney stated on their webpage and social media platforms:

Registration Update: We apologize for the technical issues which impacted general registration for the 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend presented by HONDA. Registration will now begin on July 2, 2024 at 10am ET / 7am PT. Thanks for your patience.

We are crossing our fingers and hoping that this registration will be much smoother than last weekend. I, Heather, also feel that runDisney registration would be easier if they implemented THIS change. Good luck, athletes!
