Bad Guest Behavior

Over the last few years, we have seen our fair share of poorly behaved Guests. Whether that be someone sticking their feet in the water on Splash Mountainbrawls breaking out, or a drunk man shutting down the Skyliner, we feel like we have seen it all.

Disney even went so far as to post a courtesy reminder on the website. This reminder has been in place for years and still bad guest behavior continues.

Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.

Just Keep Swimming

Rivers of America waterway located in Frontierland allows guests to enjoy a ride aboard the Liberty Square Riverboat or access Tom Sawyer Island by log rafts. It should go without saying that this waterway is not intended for swimming.

A Magic Kingdom guest, @jeffreytillitt, saw a peculiar sight in Frontierland today. While in line, a guest is seen swimming quickly across the Rivers of America.

The guest shares that this video was captured on July 16th. The guest and fellow traveling companions discuss if they should contact a Cast Member.

Thankfully it seems that the guest is safe, but this could have turned dangerous quickly. The lengthy list of possible dangers include no lifeguards present, possible dangerous wildlife in the waterway, riverboat and rafts in use, and the underwater riverboat tracts.

It is unknown at this time how Disney handled this unexpected incident. With the above mentioned courtesy reminder, Disney reserves the right to ask guests to leave the park. In some instances, life-time bans are in place for misbehaving guests.

I don't know about banning him for life - maybe a fine or some kind of community service or both. I have put my feet into water fountains especially the one outside The Muppets show. Not alone either -- plenty of other feet in the water.
