This is a big week for Country Bear fans both young and the young at heart. You do not want to miss all of the details just revealed for this first ever Country Bear dining experience.
Country Bear Jamboree
The former Country Bear Jamboree performed its last show on January 27, 2024 at Magic Kingdom. After being closed for several months, this attraction received a much needed refurbishment and even a name change.
This week the new Country Bear Musical Jamobree opened at Walt Disney World and was even added to the list of Extended Evening Hours attractions.
The Country Bear Jamboree first opened at Walt Disney World on October 1, 1971. This attraction replicated to Disneyland and even overseas parks. After a few changes over the years, the Country Bear Jamboree finally closed at Disneyland back in September 2001.
Country Bear Dining
Although Country Bear Jamobree closed at Disneyland to make room for “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”, the Country Bears still greet guests at Disney’s California Adventure near the “Grizzly Bear Run” attraction.
Today, Disney announced a name and menu change will come to Hungry Bear Restaraunt at Disneyland. It will reopen as Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.
Disney shares, “The Country Bears are taking over Hungry Bear Restaurant.” Guests are invited to “get ready to sample regional barbecue dishes the Country Bears discovered while on tour, all while foot-stompin’ and finger-snappin’ to the Country Bears greatests hits.”
More Details Coming Soon
Currently, Hungry Bear Restaraunt is closed along with all of Critter Country at Disneyland. It appears that Disneyland is using this closure to bring added improvements to Critter Country.
Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamborree will offer unique regional barbecue samplings and great Country Bear theming.
Unfortunately, this will not be a character dining experience, but we can’t wait to see the Country Bear theming and new menu items. An opening date and new menu reveal are “coming soon” according to Disney.
